About Me

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) in the State of Washington. I have a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Antioch University Seattle. I am originally from Massachusetts and received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Boston College. After graduating, I moved to Tacoma, WA as part of a volunteer experience, and I never left. My professional career includes ten years in social services working with, and advocating for, adults and children with intellectual disabilities. Prior to becoming a therapist, I also worked in health care administration. I have been providing professional therapy services since 2017.

My partner, Parke Burgess, and I have been together since 2005. Parke is also trained as a therapist. We have had the good fortune of raising my three unique and vibrant children, alongside their dad. In addition to therapy and family, I have been involved for over 35 years with Tacoma’s L’Arche community, part of an international federation of communities of people with and without intellectual disabilities, committed to relationships of mutuality and respect. Other interests include cooking, dancing, hiking, knitting, and taming our rambunctious yard.
