About Me

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) in the State of Washington. I have a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Antioch University Seattle, and received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Boston College. My professional career includes ten years in social services working with, and advocating for, adults and children with intellectual disabilities. Prior to becoming a therapist, I also worked in health care administration. I have been providing professional therapy services since 2017, and began developing a focus in infant and early childhood mental health in 2018.

My practice partner, Parke Burgess, LMHC, has also been my life partner since 2005. Parke and I have had the good fortune, along with their dad, of helping to raise my three unique and vibrant children, whom we really enjoy. In addition to therapy and my family, I have been involved for over 30 years with Tacoma’s L’Arche community, part of an international federation of communities of people with and without intellectual disabilities, committed to relationships of mutuality and respect. Other interests include cooking, dancing, hiking, knitting, and taming our rambunctious yard.
